I went to see Spirit of the Dance at Theatre Royal Windsor on Monday 21st September. As soon as I saw the title I knew I was going to love this show. Dance is my favourite and to watch such a fast paced exciting show, I was in my element!

The show was full of all kinds of dance styles, such as: Irish dancing, Flamenco, Salsa, Fosse style, Tap dance, even the Can Can. There were lots of legs kicks and high energy dances, as well as partner work and fast foot movement too.

Along with the big ensemble numbers they had a few solo and duet acts take to the stage, which included audience participation to really get everyone involved, some of which were very humerus and had the audience laughing and joining in.

The set looked fantastic, it was very simple, the back drop had lots of little lights across it and they twinkled all different colours for each dance, this really complimented the costumes and added to the overall effect.

Well done to the dancers who had such a lot to remember and lots of costume changes to go with it, they worked so hard and should be very proud because the audience loved it.

It is such fun filled show, full of incredible dancers and I would 100% urge you to go and watch this show. It is a real feel good show which has you smiling the whole way through.

It is on at Theatre Royal Windsor until Saturday 26th September. So hurry before it’s too late! 🙂
